What does Flexifly do for me?

When you choose the Flexifly fare you can reschedule your flight by paying the fare difference. The rescheduling and convenience fees you incur will be refunded to you immediately after you finish rescheduling.

What is the Flexifly refund process?

The refund is initiated once the rescheduled flight is booked, and payment is confirmed. Digit* will be in touch with you via email with details on when you will receive the refund. If you have booked a round-trip and make changes separately for each flight or journey, you will receive two notifications from Digit.

What happens if the airline cancels my flight?

You will get a full refund of the airline fare and Cleartrip's convenience fees. Flexifly benefits do not apply in case of airline cancellations.

Does that mean I have to pay the amendment and convenience fees at the time of booking the changed flight?

Yes, and once the payment is complete, the refund will be initiated by Digit*.

How is my refund calculated?

The amendment fee + Cleartrip’s convenience fee is the amount refunded to you in the event of a flight change. However, for bookings where the flight fare is lower than the amendment fee, the refund will match the original booking fare + Cleartrip’s convenience fee.

Is Flexifly useful if I want to cancel my tickets?

Flexifly is only for rescheduling flights, all cancellations will be chargeable in line with the respective airline policy.

What happens if I cancel a flight booked with Flexi fare?

You will be refunded the fare amount as per airline policy. However the Flexifly Fare, made available to you at an additional cost, is non-refundable.

Up until when can I reschedule my tickets?

While we recommend making the changes as early as possible, Flexifly allows you to make changes as late as up to 2 hours before the original departure time. Note: Up to 2 hours before the original departure time, unless specified otherwise by airline fare rules.

By how many days can I reschedule my flight?

You can advance your travel up to 10 days prior to the original departure date, and up to 60 days post the original departure date.

Can I reschedule multiple times for a single passenger?

Flexifly is applicable for a one-time rescheduling request – once per flight only. Secondary or multiple changes will be treated as with Standard Fare bookings, i.e., rescheduling and convenience fees will be applicable.

What happens if there is a difference between the original and rescheduled booking amount?

There are two likely scenarios.
i) The rescheduled flight fare is lower than the original flight fare. In this instance you will be refunded the amount paid by you (up to ₹3200).
ii) The rescheduled flight fare is higher than the original flight fare. In this instance you will be refunded the rescheduling fee + the Cleartrip convenience fee (up to ₹3200).
The amount payable by you, upto ₹3200, will be refunded in both scenarios.

Does Flexifly apply if I reschedule my flight, but also change the destination?

Unfortunately, no. Flexifly is applicable only for rescheduling your flight, to the same destination.

I have purchased Flexifly tickets for 3 passengers in a single booking; can I make changes for all of them together? What if I want to reschedule only one passenger’s flight and not the other two?

You can absolutely make changes for all 3 passengers together. You can make changes once per passenger, per flight – i.e., once for each traveller for the onward and return journeys. You can amend the flights for all passengers together, or only for one or two as needed.

If I have booked a round trip, can I reschedule both the onward and return flights?

Yes, you can change tickets for both your onward and return journey together; in one request, or separately.

What if I rescheduled my flight directly with the airline? Do I still get a refund from Flexifly?

Unfortunately Flexifly does not cover instances where customers choose to change or reschedule their flights directly with the airline. We urge all our Flexifly customers to make any changes necessary, directly on Cleartrip.

Terms and conditions

  1. About - Flexifly allows you to change your flight for the same destination by only paying for the fare difference between the flights and not having to incur the amendment and convenience fees that accompany it. Flexifly is not applicable in the event of flight cancellation.

  2. The convenience fee and amendment fee will have to be initially paid by the customer. Upon booking of the rescheduled flight and receipt of confirmed payment by Cleartrip, our insurance partner Digit will reach out to the customer via email with the details of the refund.

  3. Refund Calculation: The total amount refunded to the customer comprises of: amendment fee + Cleartrip’s convenience fee and is subject to a maximum cap of INR 3,200/- (Rupees Three Thousand Two Hundred Only). For booking where the rescheduled flight fare is lower than the amendment fee, the refund to the customer comprises of: booking fare + Cleartrip’s convenience fee.

  4. Difference between original flight fare and rescheduled flight fare: (i) When the rescheduled flight fare is lower than the original flight fare, the customer will be refunded the amount paid by the customer subject to a maximum of INR 3,200/- (Rupees Three Thousand and Two Hundred Only); and (ii) When the rescheduled flight fare is higher than the original flight fare, then the customer shall be refunded the amendment fee + the Cleartrip convenience fee subject to a maximum of INR 3,200/- (Rupees Three Thousand and Two Hundred Only).

  5. Period of rescheduling: Unless specified otherwise by the airline fare rules, Flexifly allows the customer to reschedule up to 2 hours before the original departure time. Flexifly allows the customer to advance the travel up to 10 days prior to the original departure date and up to 60 days post the original departure date.

  6. Multiple rescheduling for single passenger: Flexifly is applicable only for a one-time rescheduling request i.e., once per flight only. Multiple changes shall be treated as standard fare bookings and amendment fee and Cleartrip convenience fee will be applicable.

    1. Rescheduling for multiple passengers: Tickets purchased using Flexifly for multiple passengers can be changed as per the convenience of the customer. Changes for all passengers can be made at once or each passenger per flight. Changes for just 1 of the multiple passengers can also be made.

    2. Flexifly allows changes for round trip journeys as well, either in one request or separate requests, as per the convenience of the customer.

  7. Flexifly fare once paid is non-refundable. Thus, once a flight booked with Flexifly is cancelled, the Flexifly fare paid by the customer shall not be refunded. The airline fare amount will be refunded as per the respective airline policy.

  8. Cleartrip reserves the right at any time, without prior notice and liability and without assigning any reason whatsoever, to add/alter/modify/change or vary all of these terms and conditions or to replace, wholly or in part and to withdraw Flexifly at any time in its sole discretion.

  1. Cleartrip is the sole authority for interpretation of these terms

  2. Cleartrip shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising due to force majeure event

  3. In the event of any misuse or abuse of the offer by the customer or travel agent, Cleartrip reserves the right to deny the offer or cancel the booking

  4. In no event the entire liability of Cleartrip under this offer shall exceed the booking amount

  5. Cleartrip shall not be liable to for any indirect, punitive, special, incidental or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the offer

  6. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of India and the courts at Bangalore will have exclusive jurisdiction over any matters/disputes arising out of or in relation to Flexifly.

  7. Flexifly is valid per ticket booked by customer 1 ticket/ segment.

  8. In case you cancel the transaction (in part or full) the entire amount paid for Flexifly will be deducted from the refund amount.

  9. Flexifly is valid on any Domestic/International flight originating from India available on www.cleartrip.com

  10. In case, you cancel your booking the entire Flexifly fare will be forfeited

  11. These terms and conditions are in addition to Cleartrip.com Terms of Use and Privacy Notice, to which you agree to by using cleartrip.com and also in addition to the conditions applicable to booking of flight / airline tickets. To the extent these conditions are inconsistent with these terms and conditions, these terms and conditions shall prevail with respect to Flexifly only.

  12. Any dispute brought by the customer in relation to Flexifly or any claim related thereto will be resolved inter se between the customer(s) and Digit in accordance with the applicable terms, Cleartrip will not (nor will be liable or obliged to) mediate or resolve any dispute or disagreement between them.

  13. By purchasing Flexifly, every customer expressly agrees that neither Cleartrip nor any of its affiliates will be liable or responsible for any loss or damage whatsoever that a customer may suffer, directly or indirectly, in connection with Flexifly that arises from such customer’s own act of omission or commission.

  14. The customers are not forced in any way to avail Flexifly and it is purely customers prudent judgment to avail the Flexifly.

  15. Any person availing Flexifly shall be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
